So most people here don't really do much for birthdays but when I found out it was Jeff's birthday on the 10th April I had to give him a special day!Juliet and I baked a chocolate cake (which was a lot better than the last one we made) and I covered it in chocolate butter icing - soo nice.
I went to the market and bought Jeff a "Ben 10" tshirt and a plastic toy car. I got some biscuits and a big bottle of Fanta and set the table up like a party.
We had a chapatti (like a bread pancake) and minced meat (burrito style) type meal and the family all came and ate in the front with me.
We sang to Jeff and lit the candles and he had NO idea how to do it - see video haha. He was so excited to get the presents and it was great seeing a kid enjoying a present that wasn't an ipad, ipod, iphone or ianything, just a basic toy.
A really nice family night, lots of laughing and too much to eat. :-)
...and Rosie, I actually baked a cake without burning / dropping / overdoing decorations / spoiling it ;)
